Best NWT series. Oh but they're all so good!

I judged the best series category of Best NWT Blogs 2009 and I feel like I need to justify my choice. This isn't because the blogs I chose weren't worthy but because the ones I didn't choose were also worthy.

So what do you do when you're handed four great bloggers to choose from? Choosing just one was very difficult, and I nearly did, but I gave in and went for a tie.

The four I had to choose from were:

The Naked Angelina Jolie Self-Portrait Challenge
Amy's idea for a self-portrait challenge was almost as brilliant as the name of it. Way to attract attention to your blog! I thought it was especially clever when she used "Regular Angelina Jolie" for the G-rated photos.
Unfortunately I never did find out who was the winner, which is why in the end I didn't pick this one. But the entries were great, and I'd love to see more.

Nights in the Spacelab
Inuvik Phil, who I suppose is no longer Inuvik Phil but Southern Phil, put together this creative series of YouTube-friendly videos including his original music.
I went through a selection of his stuff and I was impressed at the quality and the effort he put into this. It definitely deserves an award, but I couldn't choose them all!

Overheard in Cabs
Overheard in Cabs by Mongoose is great for many reasons. Most importantly, I always wonder about cab drivers and the things they see and hear.
Here, the author writes out conversations and sometimes does play-by-play scenarios, as well. Sometimes silly, often drunk and almost always hilarious, the converstions recorded made this the series I actually laughed out loud at.

Being David Hasselhoff
Most people who saw this for the first time probably said something along the lines of "what the hell, Megan?"
The competition encouraged bloggers to send in photos, written pieces or whatever they could think of showing how they are David Hasselhoff. Weird, right? Also VERY ENTERTAINING. There were some hilarious entries in this. The icing on the cake, though, was a naked photograph from an anonymous follower.
Seriously.

As you can see I had a lot of awesome to pick from, which made this really hard for me.
Congratulations to Mongoose and Megan. You will both be receiving autographed photos of me as soon as you send me your addresses. *
